Liberon Gilt Cream

Gilt cream is used to retouch damaged gilding or to gild new surfaces. It can be applied over the top of a stained or coloured finish to add a delicate glow.

With a more generous application, it provides a beautiful gloss surface through which underlying finishes and wood grain can be seen, changing in intensity with the way the light falls on it. Apply the cream with fingers, a rag or a soft brush. When dry, which can take up to 24 hours, the cream can be buffed with a soft cloth.

Warning: keep jars tightly closed, if cream goes hard warm very gently, and add some pure turpentine. We can offer a range of 8 shades. Each jar contains 30ml.
