As far as glass cutters go there are a few types available; Plastic glass cutters, Glass cutters and oil filled glass cutters.
Plastic glass cutters use a hooked metal blade to cut acrylics and other glass alternatives.
Glass cutters use a small wheel blade to cut into the glass, this requires oiling to maintain. Oil filled glass cutters are self maintaining, removing the need to manually oil the blade.
