Liberon Gilt Varnish is an easy to apply gilt finish that is suitable for use on wood, pottery, metal and plaster.
Use for gilding new surfaces, porous surfaces, such as wood requires sealing with Liberon Fontenay base before applying the gilt varnish. Recommended for fine detailing on wood, pottery, metal and plaster.
To distress a newly gilded frame lightly rub the gilted surface with 0000 guage wire wool, this allows the fontenay base to show through giving the appearance of ageing. A dark shade of gilt cream in the corners and carved areas will also highlight the aged effect.
All colours can be inter-mixed to create unique colours. Application by brush, for interior use only.
Pack size: 30ml
